Caught up at last

My birthday prompted a wave of "Happy Birthdays" on face book. This was great and gave a great excuses to start up conversations with old friends. I think now Facebook has even more members than MySpace. I was a bit late to MySpace, only signing up to pass some time at my old work. The amount of effort a profile takes to create and maintain in MySpace daunted me. Facebook on the other hand was different i signed up almost straight away, leaving the content of my profile to a simple yes or no click on an application. Job Done. I wonder is this a fad, in this year and forgotten the next, or are we going to be able to maintain friendships over further distances for longer time.

Got to 24

Its been a relatively painless experience so far, i only have one grey hair (to my knowledge) to show for it. Div & Lucy have come up to Edinburgh to help me celebrate.

We hit the ground running with Fuerzabruta. We were not exactly sure what to expect. Whenever it was brought up in conversation, people who had seen it described details with the excitement and discernability of a 7 year old let loose in an "all you can eat" sweet shop. However after seeing the show and trying to describe to other people i just sound insane. The show is best described as a rave with South American electro music with lots of energetic dance, theatre and action. I don't know which genre being kissed by and Argentinean man would fit into however. The show lasted an hour with people running into walls, girls swimming a foot above out heads and the entire crowd jumping and dancing to the music. We all ended up soaked but we choose it as we ran in with the crowd into the indoor rain at the climax of the show, or at least i think we had a choice. I am sure that they had us with the giant tinfoil curtain that all of us were trying to grab.
